Humbucking Pickups Available individually or in calibrated sets. Because of the shallow mounting depths of most modern guitars, our humbuckers come mounted on low profile base plates. If requested, vintage style base plates can be substituted at no additional charge. Zebra humbuckers have the black coil facing the outside in both the bridge and neck positions. Reverse zebra has the black coil to the inside. A Zebra neck pickup has the black bobbin facing the neck and a Zebra bridge pickup has the black bobbin facing the bridge.

	Legacy "Modern" Vintage The Legacy is our Alnico 5 PAF inspired humbucker. This pickup offers a dominant and full bodied tone, extended range with tight lows, punchy mids, a bright top end and plenty of crunch when pushed. Powerful, very warm, balanced and articulate. I played a few gigs with them and was happy. However, when my MIDI was having problems the Tech convinced me to install Duncans (Jazz in neck and JB in bridge). The sound just wasn't there. The Stan Hinesley pickups killed the Duncans. I had his pickups installed again because they had a more rounded sound, more response and just better tone. 	Scorpion The Scorpion is our high output Alnico 5 humbucker. The Scorpion offers sizzle, warm mids and a smooth bass. 	Viper High output angry pickup with plenty of tight, focused bass, punchy mids and highs. Very crisp, clear and articulate. Excellent attack with lots of crunch yet it cleans up well.. 12 steel slug pole pieces for great balance between coils and strings. The Viper pickup includes a 4-conductor cable, the necessary mounting screws, springs and wiring instructions. Great for either position, best for bridge. DC resistance = 13.5k ohm, Ceramic. Available Covers for this pickup: Open or Closed. "The Viper killed the Evo 2. Kicked it off my guitar totally. It straddles the line between vintage and modern tones, kind of PAF-ish but has great bass, tight too. There's this slight fizz (for lack of a better word) which gives this Viper a raw character. About the mids...very crisp and clear for rhythm, I would think its more articulate than the Evo 2. Note clarity and separation is very good. Very very good. It cleans up quite well, I would say the Evo 2 cleans up in a smoother way but no biggie to me. Harmonics? It sure can scream! The Evo 2 screams more easily by a hair but this Viper sounds more... organic, warmer than the Evo 2. Split, it has a more bold tone and interprets your picking dynamics well. Strangely, though the Viper's DC resistance is measured at 13.5k, its magnet pull (I used an allen key to compare) is much weaker than the Evo 2... very cool. Means more sustain. Overall, the main thing that makes the Viper rock so HARD... is the raw character. It just makes you wanna rip out with some old school riffing, if you get what I mean... Its a killer pup to me. 	TL Custom This pickup was designed and wound to Terry Lauderdale's demanding specs and is offered on his MSP "TL Model" guitar. It offers plenty of tight, focused bass, punchy mids and highs. Very crisp, clear and articulate. Excellent attack with lots of crunch yet it cleans up well. The Custom TL pickup comes with a vintage style single conductor braided shield cable but 4-conductor cable is available at no extra charge. Please let me know at time of ordering which you prefer. 	Fusion A special hybrid pickup specifically designed for coil splitting. When both coils are activated the output of the Fusion is comparable to that of a vintage humbucker and the tone is a very P-90'ish with a meaty but well defined, bluesy tone. 	Stan Hinesley 7-String Humbuckers 7-String versions are available for all of my humbucker models and feature double black bobbins. Unfortunately, no covers. Please choose model and position using dropdowns at right. Available as neck, bridge or calibrated sets. The very cool thing about the Dropzone7 (7-String) is its focused tone. "Stan was very quick in responding to emails and delivering the pickups. For the quality of the work and how these sound, the price is a fantastic value. It's hard to describe the tone of the pickups, since it would probably be different through different amps. Through my rig the pickups give my guitar a sort of bouncy, shimmery, almost watery kind of sound. But not muffled or muddy. Very sublime. They have a very organic sound. The SR's I had in the guitar were more in your face and strong, and clear sounding, where the EXPs are a bit more subdued ,yet clear sounding. No knock against the WCR single coils, they are just as good. If I were to compare, it would be like comparing between a Mercedes vs. BMW. Both great sets of pickups, but I am going with the EXPs because of personal preference. I'm not sure what gives these pickups that "extra" mojo. Maybe it's because of the randomness of the scatter wind process, or the reverse pole stagger. But, I'm definitely digging these pickups. I just ordered another set for my other 56' relic." Everything is there...Your pickups are the ultimate compromise. First off, if you want a nice modern grindy sound, its there! But they still have a vintage quality to them. Somehow you have managed to get the best of both worlds here. And, yes just like the name, they are HOT! Output exceeds the Seymour Duncan Hot-J's which are honky sounding. They are silent! no hum.
